Back in 2008 we put our heads together with professional cyclists to find a solution for long distances. They were missing an energy solution that stays well tolerated even under extreme effort — without diarrhoea or nausea.

Its strength: starch. We discovered a water-soluble formula with what was then the highest concentration of long-chain carbohydrates. They pass through the stomach faster, do not draw water from the body, are not too sweet, and help your legs last a long time. After a win at the Race Across America, CARBO BASIC PLUS exploded in the scene, and it has worn the yellow jersey in our range ever since. The Raspberry flavour contains 3.6% natural raspberry powder and has a glucose–fructose ratio of 2:1.

Directions

• Preparation: fill a 750 ml bottle with about 250 ml of water, add 4 measuring scoops (60 g total) of powder and shake. Then top up with water and shake again.
• During exercise, consume 1 serving per hour.
• Storage: keep in a cool, dry place.

Ingredients

Available in Grapefruit, Neutral, Peach, Lemon and Raspberry. Base: swellable potato starch, maltodextrin, sucrose, fructose (and isomaltulose in some flavours), salt, plus the corresponding acidity regulator and natural flavour. Isomaltulose is a source of glucose and fructose.
